How much have you ever been inside a display?
That’s more or less what I asked myself the other day while salvaging boards with displays (see previous post). So I took one and grinderized it quite a bit. There’s nothing new, or that we couldn’t imagine, however, it is interesting to see the actual shape of the light channels or how the resin bonds all together. I always thought that the case was a solid piece of plastic with just the kight channels in it. Didn’t expect it to be as hollow as possible, altough production-wise, it is logical, less plastic, less cost.
Even one of my coworkers, who doesn’t like electronics that much, was amazed by it. I’ll probably do this to other components too. XD
