Finally got to assemble the high voltage circuit for the sputtering machine:
Microwave transformer and capacitor, 20kv diode rectifier bridge and a 3mm PVC sheet on top of a metal carrier plate.
Everything is bolted down with M4 nylon screws.
Didn’t had any ballast to test it, but conected the multimeter to see the open circuit voltage:
Roughly 70VAC in gives 1000Vdc out, but as said, this doesnt represent anything in particular, as it was open circuit.
Now, I will have to wait almost until next year to finish it off, as I have to move all my stuff to my new home. (1000km away)
